Since 1978 our teams of Registered Early Childhood Educators provide a warm and loving environment, which nurtures each child to grow intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.

Choosing a Day Care Centre for your child will be one of the most paramount decisions you will make in your child’s life. At The Salvation Army Day Care we recognize the importance of making such a decision and suggest that you take the time to become acquainted with our Centre.

Our centre provides a safe and caring play-based child-initiated learning environment. In the classroom, both child-initiated free play and structured play-based learning opportunities are provided. The Ministry of Education, Child Care and Early Years Act has created a document, “How Does Learning Happen, Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years”. This tool/document will be used within the Day Care Centre to guide the teachers when programming. The purpose of this tool/document is to ensure high quality experiences are happening on a daily basis, which will lead to positive outcomes in relation to children’s learning, development, health and well-being.
